Thank God it is Saturday! Story Time folks!

The Mulla was fishing in a lake where there were no fish. After an eternity someone asked him why he was wasting his time fishing in a lake that had no fish whereas in another nearby lake they were plenty. The Mulla replied, “I know there are so many fish in that lake that they are finding it difficult to swim also.” Surprised, the stranger asked why with the knowledge he had he was still trying to fish in the fishless lake. The Mulla nonchalantly replied, “I know there is no fish in this lake. That is why I am sitting here. What is the point of fishing in that lake? Any fool can do it. To fish here is something.” Now what do you think of such a person- A fool or a wisecrack? I think he was an egoist.
The road to happiness is much simpler. Loosen your mental hinges and welcome the changes. Just as you require exercising the body to keep it fit, in the same way you need to enjoy the simple pleasures of life by shunting that ego in the back of the beyond. As you do it regularly you will find the ego disappearing. Don’t become the shadow of your ego. Shel Silverstein has described this in a poem:
The Shadow Race
Every time I‘ve raced my shadow
When the Sun was at my back,
It always ran ahead of me
Always got the best of me.
But every time I have chased my shadow
When my face was towards the Sun,
I won.
