Hopefully, it will make everyone think and take a break from binge watching and adjusting to working from home.
Isolation is leading to change and everyone is forced to accept it .
Let’s face it, everything will no longer be normal, once the COVID-19 pandemic is over. A few things will change forever.

Automation across industries will be common. Lower production costs may also enhance quality of products. There will be lesser human intervention. Thus it will provide an opportunity to lesser working hours and focus on health. The pandemic is the perfect template to handle future crisis on a global scale.
Most businesses will be forced to accept technology. Traditional methods will have to be forsaken. This is one of the most critical takeaways from the problem the world is facing.
The consumer behavior is huge and will continue to fuel the way people do business and address them. Do we see lesser number of commercial spaces? Yes, as real estate prices rise, working form home will be embraced as a major factor to conserve capital investments.

Business travel is likely to reduce as video conferencing will take over in a big way. Those who have private jets will continue to travel but with lesser frequency. Airlines may have to do away with 1st class and business class in the near future to avoid empty seats.
The era of e-services is here to stay. Governments will have to activate online public services. We already see a surge in e-commerce, but all institutions are likely to continue with digital services across the world.
COVID-19 has shown the importance of healthcare systems. Priority and budgets for health will always be number 1 for many years to come. Hopefully, defense budgets will see mass reduction as funding for keeping everyone healthy comes center stage.
Tech startups will have to become more creative with their applications and product engineering to meet the new demands of the virtual world. They should be using current data to fill the gaps and address problems created by corona virus.
Banks and financial systems across the world will have to recalibrate their portfolios to meet demands of new winds of changes. Exemptions, levies and charges of rates will now reflect the modified versions of banking.
The new word ‘social distancing’ will continue to remind us of the problems we face today. We all have to awaken to new realities of being in touch with each other. Appreciation of people who unite everyone is not lost during these trying times. In fact, across cultures people are helping each other universally. Hopefully this positive impact will continue to spread love and not hatred.

We are witnessing the improvement in the ecosystem. The oceans are more clear, the air is cleaner and nature is at its best. We all will learn to co-exist with other living beings on earth. The change in climate teaches us all when we do not use automobiles and airplanes. The world has become a safer place for all living beings.

Educating children is witnessing massive changes. Nearly 188 countries have decided on home schooling for young children. Parents are able to recognize their children’s skills and talents. They interact with them to understand their needs better. Better education quality is most welcome and will be less stressful to the kids.
Entertainment industry is also revising content to keep viewers engrossed. It will add a new way to keep people engaged in a positive way.
Staying at home is helping all of us to understand what is good for us. COVID-19 has a huge impact and is influencing to change old order and bad habits. This too shall pass. Yes, new order of social, economic and financial will be adopted. Let’s all stay safe and healthy.
Nice Article, though would like to mention that social distancing is not a new concept , it was practiced in old times too and was a norm in society in those times to avoid infections
Thank you. But can you explain how social distancing worked in the past. I would love to know.
Very appropriate in current scenario and though provoking.. Wakes one from deep slumber to new realities especially the old school of thought which believed in traditional ways.
One can use this lockdown period to upgrade their skill set to face new challenges.
so true.
So apt. The world will now Stop. Think. Act. No more mindless thinking. The changes are real and here to stay 👍🏻
appreciate your comments.
In such demanding times, the survival and creative instinct are used at its best. However, humanity cannot afford such situations when they recur frequently. Great article.
Great article. Yes indeed it has changed the thinking of almost the entire world. But in India it is not put up in the right way. Politicians want to use this as their vote banks hence everyone is racing ahead and trying to be the first person to eradicate Covid 19 and scare people. That is Sad. PM and their media spokesperson on TV, leads the way. 😪😌😷
Appreicate the bold comment.
