More reasons to choose a professional wordsmith

Meeting deadlines are important

It is pretty obvious today why writing skills matter for clients and writers. Catchy headlines are not sufficient to grab attention. An informative copy, appropriate content and an ability to meet deadlines is equally imperative. These are some reasons why skilled wordsmiths are in demand. There is more… hang on.

A plagiarism free copy brings customers back for more. A grasp on spellings and grammar are a must.

Importance of deadlines for writers

While zipping down the road at full velocity what happens when the red signal shows up or a speed breaker breaks the rhythm? Any seasoned driver’s heart will skip a beat. He also needs thinking about the cars behind him as well. All wheels come to a grinding halt. That’s the kind of feeling a professional writer goes through when a sudden deadline is thrust. The pressure is not about breasting the tape at the finishing line and delivering the work. It has more to do with offering a neat copy that will be returned for corrections, misspellings or any other reason at the last minute.

Deadlines are equally important because:

  1. The work timetable ensures no time is frittered away.
  2. Knowing I have limited period, there is no pressure!
  3. Assignments take a while to research, planning is critical to finish a copy on the dot.
  4. Several goals of the day are achieved when deadlines are cleared.
  5. Targets make the content writer reliable and responsible.
  6. If a deadline cannot be met, informing the client is a must. This works for me all the time.

And what about the comfort zone, creativity, mental blocks? These should be alien for a experienced writer. My secret, I try to beat the deadlines, instead of meeting them.

Zero tolerance towards infringement

An amateur can still be excused for copying from other websites, but not an accomplished writer. I have zero tolerance towards borrowing material and not acknowledging it. Original copy is a must from a competent wordsmith. Fresh content makes it to search engines faster and this helps several clients to come back to me for more work. The purpose of making the text unique is to enable the client know that is business can get attention on the digital platform. Both bad writing and lifting content from others can kill the reputation of a content writer. It is equally unscrupulous for the client’s business.

Crisp grammatically correct copy

Avoiding repetitions and wrongly constructed sentences is equally important for a wordsmith to be proficient in the task assigned. In the digital world, ‘content is king’ and it should be respected. Trained writers are the best bet for website revamping and article writing. I frequently share my work with technical writers who possess enhanced knowledge and insight to assist clients to prepare the right content.

I like the thumb rule of 3- 10 – 30.

  • 3 seconds to evoke interest and eyeballs
  • 10 seconds to keep them hooked
  • 30 seconds to compel a reader stay longer on the website

I can go on longer about grammar. But it is sufficient to add that using UK style or US style of English is important, keeping the client’s brief in mind. By hiring me, be assured of quality, crispness and zero tolerance towards poaching. Waiting to hear from you whenever you are ready to give me the green signal. Speeding together can be fun, try it!
